Yesterday, Saturday, January 17, Shelby and Kim had the opportunity to attend Lead the Herd 2026 — and it was a day filled with inspiration, leadership, and meaningful connection. Texas Equine truly marvels at the teamwork, dedication, and heart behind Lead the Herd 2026 by Boss Mare Inc. It was a wonderful Saturday filled with learning, laughter, and meaningful connection, and we are deeply grateful to The Cowgirl for opening their doors for such an incredible event.

We are thrilled to welcome a wonderful new addition to our Texas Equine family. Cesile Owens brings years of hands-on experience, a deep love for horses, and a thoughtful approach to horsemanship that aligns beautifully with our values here at Texas Equine. From the moment she joined us, it was clear that both our horses and our riders would be in excellent hands.

If you’ve spent any time around Texas Equine, you know that Slew holds a very special place in our hearts. This sweet Thoroughbred has been part of our barn family for years, and his journey over the last year has been nothing short of emotional, challenging, and ultimately, hopeful.
