We’re excited to officially share something many of you have been asking for—Texas Equine camps are here!

Over the past year, we’ve had countless conversations with riders and families who have expressed interest in more immersive, hands-on learning opportunities. We’ve heard you, and we’re thrilled to announce that 2026 will be our very first year offering camps at Texas Equine Education & Horsemanship.
Part of Our Educational Events Program
These camps are part of our Educational Events offered at Texas Equine.
Our educational programs are designed to provide structured, small-group learning experiences that develop confident, knowledgeable riders and include clinics, experiences, and workshops designed for all skill levels. Each program focuses on:
Progressive skill-building
Hands-on application
A deeper understanding of both horse and rider
For Summer 2026, we will be offering two types of camps, each designed with a specific purpose and progression in mind.
Horsemanship Mini Camp
The Horsemanship Mini Camp is a three-day, small-group experience designed for riders of all levels, including those brand new to horses. This program emphasizes building a strong foundation through both mounted and unmounted learning in a safe, supportive environment.
Participants learn how to safely interact with horses, groom and tack properly, and develop essential riding skills such as balance, steering, and control. Instruction goes beyond riding, helping riders understand horse behavior, care, and communication—key elements for long-term success.
Each day is structured to include guided horse time, educational activities, and hands-on application. Riders rotate through grooming, tacking, riding, and horse care, while also participating in activities that reinforce key horsemanship concepts.
With limited enrollment, participants receive individualized instruction tailored to their experience level. This ensures beginners feel comfortable while more experienced riders continue to grow.
By the end of the program, riders leave with increased confidence, practical skills, and a deeper connection to the horse. Each participant receives a Texas Equine camp shirt and a certificate of completion.

Show Ring Experience
The Show Ring Experience is a comprehensive, multi-day training program designed for riders ready to advance their skills and prepare for competition. This program focuses on technical riding, presentation, and performance, combining western and classical dressage foundations with real show ring expectations.
Throughout the week, riders refine their position, improve communication with the horse, and develop accuracy through patterns and dressage-style tests. Instruction emphasizes arena geometry, transitions, and overall ride quality, helping riders build consistency and confidence.
Participants also gain hands-on experience in the details that contribute to success in the show ring, including grooming, tack preparation, warm-up routines, and horse care before and after riding. Riders practice pattern memorization both on foot and in the saddle, reinforcing understanding from multiple perspectives.
The program builds each day progressively, allowing riders to develop and refine their skills in a structured environment. Small group sizes ensure personalized instruction, while observation of peers enhances learning.
The experience concludes with a mock horse show, where riders perform for a judge and receive scored evaluations and individualized feedback. Each participant is awarded a Texas Equine Show Ring polo, a certificate of completion, and a placement ribbon.

Starting Small—With Purpose
As exciting as this launch is, we are intentionally starting small.
Texas Equine is growing rapidly, and while we have big plans for the future—including overnight camps and expanded programs—we believe in building the right way. Rather than doing too much too quickly, we are focused on creating high-quality, meaningful experiences from the very beginning.
Day camps allow us to provide the structure, attention, and intentional instruction that define Texas Equine.
Join Us This Summer
This is an exciting growth transition for us, and we are so excited to finally be able to offer it.
Spots are limited to maintain the quality of instruction, and programs are expected to fill quickly.
