Celebrating Creativity, Growth, and the Spirit of the Horse

The 2026 Equine Expression & Heritage Art Show has officially come to a close, and what an incredible start it has been.

As our very first spring show in this series, this event marked the beginning of something truly special at Texas Equine. While the number of entries was small, the quality, creativity, and heart behind each piece spoke volumes.

This was more than just an art show—it was a meaningful step toward building a community where horses and artistic expression come together in a unique and powerful way.

A Showcase of Talent and Passion

This year’s entries reflected a beautiful range of mediums, styles, and artistic voices. From detailed graphite drawings to bold colored pencil compositions, from expressive mixed media pieces to handcrafted jewelry, each work told its own story—rooted in the connection between horse and human.

We were especially impressed by the level of technical skill, creativity, and individuality displayed throughout the show. Many of the entries demonstrated strong artistic foundations, thoughtful composition, and a clear dedication to the craft. These are the kinds of pieces that not only stand on their own but also help elevate the entire show experience.

To all of our artists: Thank you. Your willingness to
share your work, take creative risks, and be part of something new is what made this event a success.

Highlighting This Year’s Work

This spring’s show featured a variety of standout pieces across multiple mediums. We saw:
Powerful equine portraits with striking use of light, value, and detail
Dynamic graphite drawings capturing movement and structure
Bold, expressive color work that brought energy and personality to each subject
Creative mixed media pieces exploring light, reflection, and composition
Handcrafted jewelry translating equine imagery into wearable art
Each piece contributed something unique to the show, and together, they created a collection that truly reflects the spirit of equine-inspired art.
Building Something Special

Every great event starts somewhere—and this was our starting point.
What we saw in this first show was not just talent, but potential. Potential for growth, for expanded classes, for more artists, and for a stronger, more connected creative community within the equine world.

This show is about more than ribbons or scores. It’s about:
Encouraging creativity
Supporting artists at all levels
Creating opportunities to share and be seen
Celebrating the horse in a whole new way
And thanks to you, that vision is already coming to life.
Looking Ahead to August
We are already looking forward to our next Equine Expression & Heritage Art Show in August, and we couldn’t be more excited about what’s ahead.

Now is the perfect time to start thinking about your next piece:
What story do you want to tell?
What medium do you want to explore?
How can you challenge yourself creatively?
We also encourage you to invite your fellow artists, friends, and barn family members to participate. The more we grow, the more opportunities we create for everyone involved.
Thank You
To every participant who entered the 2026 Spring Show—thank you for helping us build something truly special. Please watch for an email this week with the tracking number for your award package. Local participants can pick up their award package personally from Texas Equine if so desired.

Your work, your creativity, and your willingness to be part of this event are what will continue to shape and grow the Texas Equine Art Show into something meaningful and lasting.
We are proud of each and every one of you, and we can’t wait to see what you create next.
