Bridle 'N Balance
Healing through Horsemanship. Empowerment through Connection.

Let's hear what Dr. Temple Grandin has to say about horses!

A Program for Equestrians with Disabilities
Bridle ‘N Balance is dedicated to enhancing the physical, emotional, and cognitive well-being of individuals through equine-assisted activities and therapies. Our mission is to create an inclusive, supportive, and professional environment where participants can experience growth, confidence, and healing through horsemanship. By integrating equine-assisted therapy with evidence-based practices, we strive to empower individuals while fostering strong community connections and partnerships.

Limited Access to Services: Many families must travel far or wait months for equine therapy. We're making it accessible right here in our community.
A Growing Need for Holistic Healing: People are turning to nature-based therapies like equine-assisted programs to address trauma, stress and health changes.
Educational Partnerships: Located near multiple universities, Bridle 'N Balance is a hub for internships, research and hands-on learning.

Bridle 'N Balance Program Info
Join our wait-list: After joining the wait-list, we will reach out to schedule an evaluation. The evaluation will help to determine which class the participant will be best suited for, assist in horse assignments and help our instructor(s) establish personalized goals.
Classes will run in semesters: After evaluations have started, a group class day and time will be offered. Classes will run weekly for 10 weeks starting the week of January 26, 2026 through the week of April 13th, with the remaining two weeks of April reserved for make up classes. Classes will run as scheduled unless it is actively storming. Classes will include unmounted educational activities the footing is not safe to ride on.
*We will be closed March 9th-13th for Spring Break!
Tuition based program: The tuition amount for one semester is $600. Once a class has been offered, a non-refundable deposit of $100 must be paid to hold the participants spot. The remaining tuition of $500 is to be paid in full at least one week prior to the class's start date. A discount of $50 will be applied to the total balance if the entire tuition is paid in full at the time that the deposit is due.
Industry Readiness Coaches: Texas Equine is first and foremost an education program. Our Industry Readiness Program is designed to prepare the next generation of equine professionals to step into the industry with confidence and experience. Our Industry Readiness Coaches (IRCs) are excited to learn about the amazing world of adaptive riding. While every class will be directly overseen by a Texas Equine staff member, an IRC will likely be running the weekly sessions. This will include: lesson planning, horse assignments, volunteer management, mounting and dismounting and teaching the lessons. A Texas Equine staff member will be present at all times to maintain a safe and structured class and provide feedback to the IRCs.
