Introducing Our New Division: Bridle & Balance: Expanding Opportunities for Equestrians with Disabilities

We are thrilled to announce a brand-new division in our Texas Equine Online Summer Horse Show — the Bridle & Balance Division, specifically designed for equestrians with disabilities. This is adding to the already existing divisions!

At Texas Equine, we believe that everyone deserves the opportunity to experience the transformative power of horses — not only through connection and care, but also through the joy of competition. That’s why we created this division: to celebrate the dedication, talent, and unique strengths of riders with disabilities from all over the world.

Whether you're new to showing or an experienced competitor, this division provides a welcoming, supportive, and inclusive environment to showcase your skills. As with all of our online schooling shows, participants will receive detailed judge feedback to help them grow and prepare for even bigger opportunities.

The Bridle & Balance Division is open to equestrians around the globe who identify as having a disability and who want to participate in a schooling-level competition that celebrates progress, courage, and skill. Just like all our divisions, participants will receive detailed, constructive feedback from our judges, helping them continue to grow in their horsemanship and prepare for future shows — whether local, national, or international.

Texas Equine’s founder, Shelby, has long championed equestrian inclusivity and has consistently volunteered her time at the Chisholm Challenge Horse Show, a celebrated event honoring equestrians with disabilities. Her passion and dedication inspired this new addition to our online horse show, offering yet another avenue for riders of all backgrounds to take part in the joy of competition.

This is not just a division. It’s a celebration of resilience, passion, and the human-equine bond — and we are honored to open this space for equestrians who may not always have access to traditional show experiences.
