Calling All Creative Horse Lovers: Enter the 2025 AQHYA World Show Art, Photo & Scrapbook Contests!

Do you dream in paintbrush strokes and camera clicks? Love capturing every whisker twitch and arena sparkle? The American Quarter Horse Youth Association (AQHYA) World Championship Show wants to showcase your talent—and you don’t even have to pack the trailer for Oklahoma City!


Why This Opportunity Rocks

  • No travel required. Mail or upload your entries from home.

  • Open to all AQHYA members 18 & under. Perfect for busy show schedules, summer camps, or anyone on a tight budget.

  • Big‑time spotlight. Winners are announced live in the OG&E Coliseum during the Parade of Teams on Wednesday, August 6 (watch the livestream on aqha.com/youthworld).

  • Bragging rights + inspiration. Your art will be displayed at the world’s largest single‑breed youth horse show!

Creativity counts—show us clinics, fund‑raisers, barn fun, you name it!

💵 On‑Site Contests & Cash Prizes (If You Are Headed to OKC)

Kimes Ranch Competition Award Fund is putting serious money on the line:

  • $5,000 – 1st place 14‑18 judging team & individual, 1st in impromptu and prepared speaking

  • $2,500 – 2nd place equivalents

  • $1,500 – 3rd place equivalents

Plus prizes for:

  • Justin Boots & Wrangler Jeans decorating contests

  • 13‑&‑Under public speaking

  • Stall decorating & team spirit showdowns


Horse Judging Contest: Eight classes (halter + performance), reasons, and bragging rights galore. 4‑H, FFA, and AQHYA teams: contact your state advisors to qualify.


About the AQHYA World Show

Hosted each August in Oklahoma City, the AQHYA World Championship Show crowns the best youth riders in Level 3, Adequan® Level 2, and Nutrena Level 1 Champion of Champions classes across English, western, and halter events. Even if you can’t be there in person, these art and scrapbook contests let you join the action—and add “World Show competitor” to your résumé!

We’d love to see a wave of Texas creativity represented in this year’s contest lineup—so sharpen those colored pencils, cue up your camera, or start crafting that digital scrapbook!
