Equine Expression & Heritage Art Show

Welcome to the 2026 Texas Equine Online Horse-Themed Art Show Series! This is a celebration of creativity, horses, and all the ways people express their love of equine life through art. Whether you're a professional artist, a young beginner, or just someone who loves horses and creativity, this event is for YOU!

 

Placings and results will be announced the following month (April and September), in our News & Notes, here on this page (below) and on our social media.

Show Divisions

Just like a horse show, we’re dividing our art classes into divisions based on the age or status of the participant:

 

 

 

 

Classes 

Art Classes (By Medium) You may enter as many classes as you like.

 

The available Classes (art mediums) are:

You may enter multiple pieces per class, and multiple classes per Division.

Fees & Awards $20 per Class entry

Enter 3 Classes within the same Division to qualify for: High Point Award or Reserve High Point Award

 

All participants will receive a rosette ribbon, and winning entries (1st–8th) in each class will be recognized online.

 

Submission Requirements

  • Art Entries Must Include: Clear, well-lit photos of your artwork

  • For 2D work: Front photo only is acceptable

  • A photo of artist holding the artwork (because Ai is too rampant)

  • For 3D work: Front, sides, back + a 360-degree video

  • Video must be uploaded to YouTube (send us the link)

 

Title of the artwork, Division and Class you’re entering on the entry form. All submissions must be submitted through the entry form that will be emailed to you upon completion of payment. Entry Form Must Include: Participant’s Name, Age, Mailing Address, Title of Artwork, Medium, ClassDivision (based on age).

 

Optional: Short Artist Statement or Inspiration (max 100 words) and YouTube link for 3D entries

 

Payment confirmation (screenshot or note)

You may create your own form or use ours (available at www.texaseeh.com/artshow).

 

Placings

Each Class in each division will be judged and awarded: 1st – 8th Place

High Point and Reserve High Point (in Divisions with 3+ entries in 3 classes by same artist)

Winning pieces will be: Featured on our website, Announced in our News & Notes, Highlighted on social media, Theme & Artistic Guidelines

 

All artwork must be horse-themed. This includes: horses (realistic or abstract), ponies, donkeys, mules, unicorns, pegasus, fantasy horses, rodeo, ranch, and cowboy themes. Horse tack, barns, landscapes with horses, equine lifestyle, etc.

 

We welcome all levels of artists and encourage everyone to express their love of horses in their own unique style.

Terms & Conditions

By submitting artwork to the Texas Equine Online Horse-Themed Art Show, all participants (or their parent/guardian if under 18) agree to the following terms and conditions:

1. Originality of Work: All artwork submitted must be the original work of the named participant. Entries that are traced, copied from other artists' work (without significant transformation), or AI-generated (unless in a specified digital category) may be disqualified.

2. Eligibility: This contest is open to participants of all ages. Divisions are assigned based on age at the time of entry. Artists may enter as many classes or divisions as they choose.

3. Entry Fee: A non-refundable fee of $20 per class is required for each submission. Payment is accepted online via credit or debit card only. Entries will not be judged unless full payment is received.

4. Submission Requirements: All entries must include: A clear, well-lit photo of the artwork. For 3D entries: front, side, back photos + 360° video on YouTube (like our online horse shows, you'll send us a link. A completed entry form Proof of payment. Submissions must be emailed to info@texaseeh.com by 11:59 PM on the posted deadline. Late or incomplete entries may not be considered.

5. Judging and Results: All entries will be judged by qualified art instructors, graduate assistants, instructor-referred students, or guest artists. Judging decisions are final. Placings (1st–8th per class) and High Point/Reserve awards will be announced on our website and social media the month following the entry deadline.

6. Display & Use of Artwork: By entering this contest, the artist (or parent/guardian) grants Texas Equine the right to: Display submitted images and videos on our website and social media. Use artwork images in promotional materials for future art shows. Copyright remains with the artist.

7. Consent for Minors: For participants under 18: A parent or legal guardian must approve the submission and entry form. By submitting, the parent/guardian grants permission for the minor’s artwork, first name, age, and division to be published online as part of the show. No personal contact information will ever be shared publicly.

8. Awards & Recognition: All participants will receive a rosette ribbon mailed to the address on file. High Point and Reserve High Point awards will be given to qualifying artists who enter 3 or more classes within the same division. Winners will be recognized online in our News & Notes and social platforms.

9. Liability: Texas Equine is not responsible for: lost, misdirected, or delayed entries. Technical difficulties in email or file delivery. Any damages to physical artwork, should future in-person shows be introduced.
