Welcome Echo & Scout to the Texas Equine Family!

We are beyond excited to officially welcome two wonderful new horses to our herd — Echo and Scout! These special additions bring even more heart, personality, and promise to our barn, and we are so very happy to have them as part of the Texas Equine family.

This year, Echo and Scout will be in training as they prepare to become full members of our Equine Staff next year. In the meantime, they’re settling in beautifully, learning the ropes, and making friends all around the barn.

Echo is a 3-year-old Percheron/Thoroughbred cross with a calm, reserved nature and a quiet strength that radiates confidence. Taller than her sister Scout, Echo often steps into a protective role, instinctively placing herself between Scout and anything unfamiliar. She’s curious about new people and environments, and while she enjoys affection, she prefers a gentle, respectful approach—especially if it includes her favorite: booty scratches! Echo doesn’t like being smothered, but when approached with kindness and patience, she will reward you with a soft, trusting connection.

Scout, Echo’s half-sister, is a Shire/Clydesdale-Thoroughbred mix who brings a burst of energy and confidence to the barn. With her wide white blaze, feathered drafty socks, and a thick, wavy tail, Scout is full of charm and character—and she’s not shy about showing it! Playful and people-loving, Scout is always the first to explore something new, and she thrives on interaction. Whether it’s a new toy, a visitor, or an opportunity for some booty scratches, Scout is right there, eager and ready.

Though they are still in training, Echo and Scout are already making a big impression on everyone they meet. So, the next time you’re here for your lesson or a visit, be sure to stop by and say hello! They love making new friends and will appreciate your attention as they get to know their new home.
